Our customer is one of the subsidiaries of an international Japanese company with its European headquarter in Frankfurt am Main, Germany which turnover is approx. 17 billion US$. The company is a supplier of dialyzers and other extracorporeal products applying its core technologies for membrane separation using hollow fibers and absorption
    
Job Profile

Reason for the vacancy    
  • Creation of HR support system for all Asahi Kasei Group in Europe. This position concentrates and manages the HR- Activities of all Subsidiary Companies and Branch Offices in Europe. The position owner will work with an employee from the Japanese mother company and be supported by the member of Global HR Group in Asahi Kasei in Japan and USA.
    
Objectives of the job    
  • This position is responsible for providing support for Human Resources function and group wide HR management for whole Asahi Kasei group in Europe
    
Main tasks    

For the whole group in Europe:
  • Consultant & Support to solve Labor relation issues - by suggesting the solution and coordinating the process and drafting documents and conducting meetings with employee(s) and employer; by negotiating with Labor Union and/or Labor council as needed.
  • Manage HR Compliance - by monitoring each company’s handbook and policies and employment contract, and suggesting and drafting revised them; by updating each country law and suggesting necessity action and drafting recommended changes; by planning training or education program for Managers and Staff.
  • Manage Hiring process - by coordinating the hiring processes and preparing supportive materials (ex. Questionnaire list); by joining interview session as needed, especially in case for senior manager level position; by planning education program for Managers.
  • Maintain compensation plan - by suggesting and consulting compensation plan of each company, which include bonus system and appraisal system and fringe benefit and so on; by updating market data and each country’s law change and suggesting necessity action; by providing useful tools; by planning group consolidated plan to provide better benefit to employees.
  • Manage Human Development and education - by coordinating training and education for Managers and Staff as needed; by planning or arranging training program for each company; by consulting succession plan of each company.

For the medical sector in Europe:
  • Manage general affair function - by maintaining office regulation; by suggesting improvement of work environment; by maintaining IT policy.

For the whole Group:
  • Implement Global HR Strategy - by planning and coordinating training program with Global HR Group such as to penetrate Asahi Kasei Mission, Vision and Value; by planning succession plan for senior manager position in each company.
  • Join HR related project in Europe - by joining variety Projects as needed, such as M&A project and Post Merger Integration project.

  • The owner of the position reports to: General Manager of Global HR Group (in Japan)

Travelling    
  • The Staff Member must be able to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours if necessary.
    
Requierements Profile

Education    
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university. Master’s degree is preferred.
    
Professional experiences        
  • Ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Handling HR function for several Europe countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and UK.
    
Special skills    
  • Experienced in working as a HR Manager in an international company with subsidiaries abroad
  • In-depth knowledge in HR Management issues
    
Language skills    
  • German and English business fluent
    
Experience in leadership    
  • Must have supervisory skills and management experience
    
Personal skills    
  • High communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Be eager to keep updated practical knowledge of the HR & Labor relations in all countries where Asahi Kasei group has employees in Europe
