Our client is a successful, globally-operating medium-sized enterprise. As the manufacturer of product systems for wood and building protection, it stands for the highest quality,
continuity, outstanding technology and innovative power. Customers and market partners from trades, specialist retailers, industry and planning are provided with individual
solutions for each specific situation.

As a premium provider in the construction industry and a company group established worldwide, our client with approx. 1,500 employees generates turnover in the triple-digit
million-euro range. The candidate will be responsible for the fast-growing markets in Central and Eastern Europe, namely the Czech Republic, Baltic region, Poland and Hungary.

  • The candidate will report to the Board Member for International Affairs

  • No direct personnel responsibility

Travel requirements
  • Regular, extensive travel to key target markets in Central and Eastern Europe

Goals / Tasks /Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:
  • business development (assessment of marketing leads and sales markets, business analyses of customers and competitors, development of new and follow-up business,
    preparation of business plans, design of concrete business models)
  • key accounting in coordination with regional management or the respective sales organisations
  • logistical processes for the on-time delivery of products to customers

General tasks

The candidate will be entrusted with analysis of the respective relevant specific framework conditions and in particular of:
  • legal standards and licensing requirements
  • technical product requirements and quality standards
  • monitoring the various sales channels and respective decision-making processes, including the price/competitive situation
  • evaluating and assessing market/business potential for the respective products
  • identifying the most important key customers, differentiated by products

Specific tasks

The candidate will
  • work with all key departments at the company headquarters and regional management to develop concepts and measures to implement the annual plans agreed,
    differentiated by products and target customer (groups), and monitor their implementation and success
  • supervise product launches
  • support the regional sales teams with presentations and sales negotiations
  • maintain intensive personal contact with leading decision-makers on the highest level (e.g. clients/ministries/scientific bodies and institutes)
  • represent the head office, particularly during contact with specialist committees and other relevant opinion leaders and decision-makers
  • support lobbying activities
The candidate will coordinate between all important company departments and in particular the
head office and group subsidiaries.

Requirements Profile

Qualifications

Academic qualifications
  • Completed university degree in construction/civil engineering (specialising in construction chemistry or a comparable subject);
    where possible, also a business degree

Professional experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the industry

Special skills / capabilities
  • Exceptional sales skills, self-initiative and an assertive attitude

Management experience
  • Desirable

IT skills
  • SAP, Microsoft Office

Language skills
  • English (business fluent)
  • Russian advantageous
  • German desirable (or the willingness to learn)

  • The annual income comprises a fixed salary and a variable component, which will depend on the candidate’s expertise and experience.
  • The place of work is a town in Lower Saxony.
  • Car: a vehicle in the upper mid-range will be provided
