Sales Director / General Manager Austria (m/f/d)

Our client is the Austrian subsidiary of an international multi brand
company in manufacture and sales of home appliances.

Position Profile

Reason for the vacancy
  • Successor position

Job Objectives
  • Significant increase of the company`s turnover in Austria
    (& Balkans) by adapting and developing sales and marketing strategies 
  • Optimization of organization and operations to meet the European company structure.

Main tasks
  • Mainly Sales Director responsibilities with additional General Manager functions
  • Maximizing the sales and profitability of the business by managing existing
    customer relationships as well as introducing new initiatives to grow the business
    and develop new business opportunities
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and long term business objectives
  • Manage the performance of the sales team through motivation and training
  • Generate monthly sales activity analysis and forecasting
  • Maximize the profitability of each sale whilst retaining 100% customer satisfaction
  • Monitor market place activity and report accordingly
  • Liaise with marketing on development and implementation of sales campaigns
  • Resolve any customer queries in a professional and timely manner

Position within the company hierarchy
  • The owner of the position reports to the International Sales
    Director of the mother company

Team lead
  • A small team of sales members who are directly reporting
    'to the position holder

Travel
  • Frequently in Austria and Eastern Europe

Requirement Profile

Education
  • University degree or vocational training

Professional experience
  • Proven track record in successful sales of white goods in
    Austria and preferably in one or more of the Balkan states

Special skills
  • Experienced in developing and implementing systems and
    procedures to improve sales
  • Focused on company objectives yet never compromising
    on customer service
  • Extensive market knowledge

Managerial Experience
  • Experienced in effectively managing a team

Languages
  • German and English fluently

Soft skills 
  • Must be self-driven, motivated and a great communicator
