Our client is a specialized wholesaler and systems house for photovoltaic installations. They plan and design high-performance photovoltaic systems and support system installers, providing advice and skills in two key business areas: Wholesale and Project Support

Job Profile
    
Reason for the vacancy    
  • Our client is intending to enter the Japanese PV market and is therefore looking for an experienced General Manager
    
Objectives of the job    
  • Strategic development and operational leadership of the Japanese company
    
Main tasks    
  • Lead and represent the company in Japan
  • Generate market knowledge, including products, competitors, market trends, technology roadmaps and regulations
  • Strategic Planning
  • Develop and execute business plans
  • Engagement of further staff
    
Position within the company hierarchy    
  • The owner of the position reports to the General Manager Germany
    
Team work with  
  • Closely working together with the Management Department in Germany
    
Travelling    
  • Around 10 % . In the beginning, a training period for several weeks in the German mother company will take place
     
Requirements Profile

Education    
  • University degree
    
Professional experiences        
  • Proven track record in General Management of branches of international technical companies
  • Experience in working in a European company desirable
    
Special skills    
  • Needs business acumen and a good understanding of technical complexes
    
Experience in leadership    
  • Necessary
    
Languages    
  • Japanese -  mother tongue
  • English    -  fluent
  • German   - desirable
    
Personal skills    
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions
